We believe that God has called us to announce his love to this world. Through our lives, jobs, families circles and friendships God has uniquely placed in our lives, we are to commit our lives to demonstrating God's immeasurable love as best as we can. When Jesus preached to the crowds in the Book of Luke, he was quick to say that we are called to love those who are hard to love - not just the ones that love you in return. The Little Church in the Pines exists to do just that - express God's unending love and mercy to those that need it the most. Jesus said it best in Luke 6:35-38
But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return, and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, for he is kind to the ungrateful and the evil. Be merciful, even as your Father is merciful. Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven; give, and it will be given to you.
Our Mission
Our mission at the Little Church in the Pines is to be a place where people learn of Jesus, believe in, grow in and follow in Jesus - doing all this to glorify God the Father and to receive great joy for ourselves and other people.
About Us
Meet Pastor Troy Harvey
Hello. What a privilege to be the pastor here at Little Church in the Pines in beautiful Island Park, ID. My wife Robie and I have been married for 33 years. We have three adult children and several grandchildren. In 2019, we moved to Island Park, after spending most of our adult lives in Arkansas where we raised our family. I've been in ministry for 25 years - serving 11 years in full-time vocational ministry, 14 years in bi-vocational ministry, pastoring part-time and also building houses. I became the pastor of Little Church in the Pines in October 2025. It is a great privilege to live in Island Park and serve Jesus in this beautiful place with wonderful people.
SUNDAY Service
Our weekly service the Little Church in the Pines offers a beautiful blend of traditional and contemporary styles. We honor the timeless traditions of the church - scripture readings, hymns and prayer - while embracing the fresh expressions of today's worship music and messages that speak to life in the modern world.
Whether you grew up in church or are just beginning your faith journey, you'll find our service heartfelt, engaging and grounded in God's word. Come as you are and worship with us in an atmosphere that's both reverent and refreshing.
FRIDAY Bible Study
Our Friday Bible Study is one of the best ways to get connected at the Little Church in the Pines. It's a relaxed, welcoming environment where we share conversation, prayer and a love of scripture. Whether you're new to the bible study or a lifelong believer, you'll find encouragement and understanding as we grow in faith together.
Hebrews 4:12 reminds us that "the Word of God is alive and active. It's not just about learning - it's about belonging."

Community Involvement
At the Little Church in the Pines, we believe faith comes alive through service. We highly encourage everyone to be involved in their community - whether here in Island Park or wherever you call home.
Our congregation supports and participates in a variety of local activities, outreach programs and service opportunities throughout the year. From helping neighbors in need , supporting the local schools, community clean-up days or charitable events, we strive to be the hands and feet of Christ in everyday life.
